0.5.0 Latest April 14, 2026

  • New generic AppleScript module — a single run_applescript tool drives Music, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. AI clients can fetch per-app reference docs on demand (list_applescript_references, get_applescript_reference) so they know what each app supports before writing a script.
  • Daemon credential IPC — Mail credentials now flow through the app's keychain over the AppleScript relay, letting the daemon ship without any restricted entitlements or a provisioning profile. Fixes a class of AMFI-related launch failures on fresh installs.
  • Per-app profile scoping — profiles can restrict which AppleScript target apps a given client is allowed to drive.
  • Fixes a release-only list_reminders crash / hang caused by an EventKit callback running outside the CalendarService actor's executor.

0.4.0 April 13, 2026

  • Direct Notes database access — instant listing and search of notes by reading the Apple Notes database directly. No more AppleScript timeouts for browsing large note libraries. Enable in Settings > Advanced.
  • New list_notes tool — browse notes with pagination, name filtering, and date range filters. All queries run against SQLite for sub-second results.
  • AppleScript relay — Notes writes and body reads go through the app via a Unix domain socket relay, giving the daemon proper macOS automation context without requiring Full Disk Access.
  • Diagnostics panel — Settings > Advanced now includes a Test Access button that checks Calendars, Reminders, Contacts, Notes relay, and Notes direct access status.

0.3.0 April 9, 2026

  • New daemon architecture — the MCP server now runs as a dedicated daemon process instead of inside the app. Claude Desktop and Claude Code connect directly via stdio for reliable, zero-latency communication. The menubar app is now a lightweight UI controller for configuration only.
  • HTTP mode for third-party clients — the daemon can also run in HTTP mode on localhost for ChatGPT, Codex, or custom integrations. Managed via launchd or launched automatically by the app.
  • Apple Notes improvements — note listing is now cached for faster repeat access, and AppleScript recovery controls let you reset the Notes connection if it stalls.

0.2.0 April 3, 2026

  • The first public release of Claunnector. A single menubar app that runs an MCP server on your Mac, giving AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex direct access to your Mail, Calendars, Reminders, Contacts, and Notes — all over a secure localhost connection with per-client profiles, full audit logging, and native macOS notifications.
